Christopher Espiritu

With over 19 years of cybersecurity and leadership experience, Chris has supported critical national defense missions across the Department of Defense, U.S. Navy, and the Joint Community.  His background blends technical acumen with strategic oversight, positioning him as a trusted authority in cybersecurity risk management and mission assurance.  He holds a degree in Computer and Information Science with a concentration in IT, Networking, and Security, and has led large-scale efforts to safeguard critical systems, strengthen cyber resilience, and align security practices with operational objectives.

As a trusted advisor on Risk Management Framework (RMF) initiatives, Chris has overseen numerous Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts, vulnerability assessments, and security evaluations in the DoD, Federal Civilian, and Commercial spaces.  His technical capabilities include developing and assessing cybersecurity packages, conducting security control assessments, and supporting continuous monitoring initiatives.  He brings hands-on expertise in implementing security controls, ensuring compliance with DoD directives, and engineering mission-ready cybersecurity solutions that meet operational and regulatory requirements.

In senior leadership roles, Chris has provided technical oversight and personnel management for mission-critical programs supporting U.S. Navy Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. 10th Fleet (FLTCYBERCOM/C10F), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).  He has also led globally distributed teams focused on Communications Security (COMSEC)/Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and Ashore/Afloat Information Assurance.  His ability to lead cross-functional teams, align cybersecurity practices with mission requirements, and deliver impactful results continues to make him a trusted partner in advancing national defense missions.
